To provide early rehabilitation, acute geriatric services in the acute care sector, proof of additional qualification in geriatrics totaling 180 hours is required. WEP offers a comprehensive 180-hour hybrid specialist training program for this purpose. This consists of the following mandatory components:

• Compulsory area with practical evidence
• Compulsory part with written elaboration of a care process
• Compulsory part with oral presentation of a detailed care process
• Compulsory part SCGU Blended Learning at the WEP ACADEMY with final exam. Prerequisites are 40 hours of geriatric experience and previous training.
WEP offers this in two different formats:
• Institutional course
In this form, the participants are employed by the clinic, which offers the course on its premises.
WEP will conduct the 180-hour training course on the clinic's premises. A minimum of four participants is required. Participation by external participants is only possible upon request.
• Central rate
Central courses take place at designated clinics/academies at designated times. Here, too, WEP conducts the 180-hour training course on the clinic's premises. The advantage of central courses is that individual participants from different institutions can also register. A minimum of four participants is required. Participation is open to both internal and external participants. Further information is available at:
